Rear bumper has different paint than body

Maybe it's another victim of cost cutting and MB used to do a better job at matching the paint between the metal panels and the plastic bumpers. I've had my car for 7 years now and handwashed it at the beginning here in the California sun. There's no visible difference between the paint on the body and the paint on the bumpers. Doesn't matter what angle I'm looking at. Even the body has different materials. Some panels are aluminum such as the front fenders in my case and the hood I believe, whereas others are steel, but the paint remains consistent across all materials. I've had several special black paints over the years, which looked different in the sun. My previous Audi was painted in Panther Black Crystal Effect, which depending on the light was also either deep black or had a purple and/or green hue like the fur of a panther. It was also consistent across the body and the bumpers. That's Audi, though, but just saying. Living in sunny California means I see my paint regularly in the bright sun, and I would have noticed if there were differences. But who knows, maybe they are using different primers these days and such. Perhaps also worth noting that my car was built and painted in Germany. I've never had a German car that was built in another country, so maybe this is an issue with the South Africa plant. Strange, though, that the bumper that was repainted by the body shop seems to have the same issue. So maybe something did change over the years with the paint they are using.
