ay guys - a little while ago there was a thread on the new generation CLS along with some spy pics. I can't seem to find this .

i saw something on the net (cant find it will try) that the next CLS will be the 1st to have the 5.5 liter Biturbo AMG and to be a CLS 55 AMG 550HP
as well as the CLS 550 that will have a 5.5 liter Biturbo 430HP.

The next CLS will again be offered with four different engines - but the line-up is all-new:

CLS 350 – 3.5-litre direct-injection V6, 292bhp; power output increases to 306bhp in 2012

CLS 550 – 5.5-litre V8, 388bhp; superseded by 435bhp direct-injection twin-turbo V8 in 2012

CLS 55 AMG – 5.5-litre twin-turbo direct-injection V8, 570bhp; available from mid-2011 onward

CLS 320 CDI – 3.0-litre direct-injection V6, 224bhp; replaced in 2011 by 313bhp CLS 350 CDI

Cleaning up the forum and found this posted back in 2009. Some pretty good inside information regarding the W218. It's always interesting to see how close the predictions are to what actually materializes.

Yes always interesting. Thanks for reviving. The front was not really close but the back with the lights was a good rendition.
Horsepower was wishful thinking for 2012 but true for 2014
