2012 CLS63 PP Dyno

Ok guys i took my CLS63 today to get a dyno reading so i can compare the numbers once i get my car tuned. I didn't get torque numbers because there was no time to hook the lambda sensor, and the dyno shows two runs one on 4th gear and the other on 5th gear, the one with the 4th gear showed the higher HP output i got this on video i will post it once i upload it.

The temperature was about 86F its an indoor dyno.

Me neither since he already has the PP upgrade--- probably not too much in gains versus the non PP cars.

Nice numbers.

Before we jump to conclusions maybe FlyC63 got a PP software on his car that's why we have close numbers, where for I will be doing a Brabus upgrade that includes larger intercooler bigger I/C pump, full exhaust with deleted cats. Let's just hope it's not 10 or 20 more HP or Brabus will pay

539 hp is your highest 1st run in 4th... assuming the AMG MCT drivetrain loss of... 14% (Average is 15% for autos and 12% for manuals), your CLS63PP is making around 626 hp at the crank???

Am I right or am I just being really stupid? MCT has less drivetrain power loss than full autos correct? But still more than manuals?

And with 513 rwhp...that calculates to 596 hp in the 2nd dyno run. Crank.

Mercedes underrated their cars eh? Niiiiice. Can't wait to see what the F10 M5's true power will be! Certainly not 560 bhp...

I don't know what the power loss on the MCT is but I know it's less than 14% for sure, anyone here who has nailed the 2012 CLS63 will tell you that the power transferred to the road by the MCT is something else. That's my opinion anyways

Here's my numbers and S63 PP:
Baseline- 473.45
S63 PP- 537.00 **dyno at same place by Insideline.com
Singh Tuned- 553.40
*note S63 PP is rated i think 13hp more then CLS 63 PP.
So yes i think you'll get around 20-25 hp max with the tune.

Well it will take a bit to get my car back from Brabus here in Dubai but as soon as she's back I will dyno her and post the outcome, but from where I see it I think you got a software which is similar to the PP software, there is more potential in your car I am sharing the info for comparison and for us to benefit from. Remember you tuned it without changing any hardware not even sport cats.

Just a thought S63 has a longer wheelbase than a CLS63 makes sense she might have less HP, that's why 537hp for the S and 553hp for the CLS?

You might be right. Hope to see more power from your mods

No jumping... he didnt have a PP car and just got an aftermarket tune. Obviously we cant compare dyno charts since your car was done on a different dyno. And as always dyno's give perspective but are never absolutes. Congrats again on the fine numbers.

My thoughts are to determine, if I get this car, is do I want to get a PP car or non PP car and do a tune... Im leaning towards a non PP car.

Sorry I don't know much about details we got the better reading on the 4th gear.

yes you are right, that's why we don't have close numbers given it's on different dynos, what I have mentioned is FlyC63 maybe was given a copy of a PP software that's all, there is more potential to get better HP results since a tuned non PP and a stock PP have few HP differences, maybe Singh just copied the PP tune for him, those are my thoughts, to say the truth I was expecting less HP outcome around 490-510 this was my expectation from the day FlyC63 published his results and I was hoping to get around 570 HP with Brabus tune.

The guys at the dyno shop didn't have time to get me a torque reading they only ran it twise, first on 4th gear and then on 5th gear and took her off the dyno.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Those are great numbers indeed and thanks for sharing.
Really looking forward to the tune with the Brabus components installed.

i think your car with the mods you listed should reach 600rwhp at least.

i know for the X6M which is a 4.4TT engine, we gained 100AWHP from a headers and direct no cats exhuast. which made the car reach 670hp on the cranck from 555hp.

i am sure these cars will show great gains with H/E and dual pumps + exhuast and a tune.

i will not be surprised if it reached more than 600rwhp. however i will be disapointed if it showed below that.

i know Brabus are not aggressive with their tune and always tune a block below safety lines.

great numbers and thanks for sharing.

I cannot wait for the days of turbo upgrades on these cars. I nice set of tial housing billet wheel turbos with big inlets, down pipes, high flow cats, fuel system and a lot more boost...

I know. It's just crazy what tuners are doing with this motor and the stock turbos.
