New Beast III
Having owned a 2007 when they first came out and a 2009 with they updated the CLS gives me a unique perspective.
Meet the new one, my third CLS63
Diamond white with carbon fiber interior trim, 793 - forged wheels... etc.

Thank god and country when AMG stepped up to serve us a twin turbo choice, max torque anytime !
I just had to have one before our local eco terrorists burned all of them, no joke ! http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-0...-protests.html

Bruce at TTM needs to make some time to investigate the new motor thoroughly.

Why hold them back, cars available days-nights and weekends !
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
What I notice the most is that the left and right headlights blend together very well. I don't notice a separation between the two lamps. It's as if there was one big floodlight at the center of the grill.
On the inside, Mercedes no longer has an 'Off' position to select. You can either set the lights to 'Auto', 'Parking lights', or 'On'.
But obviously, I'm biased.
Diamond White seems to be a big seller, and it does look good on the CLS63. Now, who's going to be the first to buy one in Cuprite Brown?
Your Honer is really overdo for an appearance !
Real world: Very practical with useful range, brights have to be seen to understand how well they illuminate highway signs at speed.
It would be great for someone to start a thread of:
what's available ?
What works and what's just marketing hype.
Facts not claims..... The longer the companies story the less I believe it, especially the price.
came in a little higher than I expected.
If they advertised 518 HP and assuming a 17% loss = 429 HP.
My 2009 was rated for 507 HP and 17% loss is 421 and that is close to what the car made: https://mbworld.org/forums/cls55-amg...t-cls63-3.html

"It produces 518 hp at 5500 rpm and 516 lb-ft of torque at 1750 rpm, up from the 507 hp and 465 lb-ft produced by the old CLS63’s naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8. With the optional Performance package, max boost rises from 14.5 psi to 18.8, bringing power ratings up to 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque."

A 2012 CLS63 with performance pack is listed at 550 HP and with a drive-line loss factor of 17% = 456 HP which is closer to what we found.
