2012 headlight bulb question.

Hi, and congrats to all with the 2012 model. I was out driving the other day and noticed a 2012 CLS with the headlights on. The bulb looked super white, which looked fantastic. I have the 2006 OEM HID set up, but the bulb is not as white. Would the 2012 HID bulb work with the 2006 headlight ?

Im not sure what model 2012 CLS you saw but I know for sure that the CLS63 2012 does not have HID bulbs, they are LED's... I think its a combination of 72 LEDS to create the headlight and they wont work on your car.

Ohh I see, well that certainly explains that super white effect. I didn't know that the main bulb was LED. Cool, thanks Vic

The lighting on these cars are on another level. The 2006 model should've had LEDs in the headlights and tail lights. The technology was already seen back then in cars like Infiniti's etc.

The tail light on the 2012 looks so sick at night.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
The A7 has a gorgeous interior.
I would have considered it if it had more ***** under the hood.
RS7 maybe?

The LED's are amazing and I do believe MBZ is the first to have the actual headlight composed of LED's...

Ali the daytime runners will be stronger because.... its during the day and once you headlights come on they dim down. I dont think there is a way to keep them strong but my buddy just got the new software on SDS for the 2012's so we can check. He definitely can lower my car in the rear so thats a plus!!!!!!

Actually, this feat goes to Audi with the R8.
I think it was something like 3 years ago.

"The first-ever all-LED active headlamps

The world's first all-LED active headlamps, part of the Premium 1 Package, generate light that´s even closer to natural daylight than the standard Bi-Xenon headlamps. Active Curve Illumination and Adaptive Highbeam Assist continuously vary the beam pattern of the LED headlamps to help maximize illumination of corners and straightaways."

so did any one figure out if the bottom led strip can go brighter? I just picked up my AMG and i feel the bottom are very dull compared to the actually headlight strip it self? If so how do you change the settings?

Thanks
