Forgot to ask, did you swap out the hood badge? If so, what is it and do you have close-ups?

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.

Yes KW's are installed.
Ride quality, surprisingly, is very close to stock. The coil is shorter than stock but the shock (dampener) is still stock. You can still feel the difference between the suspension settings you select (C, S, S+).
Riding over bumps, into dips, feel slightly stiffer. However, I did not get a chance to drive the car with the stock wheels and the KW's. So part of that feedback could also be related to the lower profile tires I'm now using.

I did not. It's the same MBZ tri star only painted black.

Thank you all for the positive responses.
All the badges will be black hopefully within the next few weeks and maybe exhaust tips.
Next year, I might visit Jeremy at OE.

If you're experienced with suspensions and you've got the right equipment to compress the coils, it will take approximately 1 hour a side.
The technician that installed my KW's was quite experienced with Mercs and knew exactly how to install the coilovers. He installed both links in the rear in about 20 minutes.

My guy is a highly experienced tech from a dealership with all the parts and he literally had both sides removed and reinstalled in about 1 hour.... the rear was stupid fast; reach hand in remove, reach hand in install part and click.

Now the tough part is that the rear link did not lower the car enough for me so there was some fine tuning which takes some time because you have to drive the car and sometimes the suspension would slam no matter what or go to the highest level.

Yes, a good body/paint shop will take them off the car, prep them, paint, and maybe even a clear coat depending on the finish you want.

This is why I love this board, why I love AMG enthusiasts and why this is the first place I go while I am looking to build on this beautiful machine.

I do have a question on painting vs. wraps. We powder coated the wheels, painted the badges and next week we are doing a ceramic job on the pipes. I am dying to get the rest of the chrome off but he told me that I should wrap it and not paint it. Thoughts?

I think wrapping doesnt chip and is more durable. Paint doesnt adhere well to the faux chrome.

And vinyl can be easily removed - paint could be a huge pain in the *** down the road.

Ali is something else, right.

Now, what's this, "I'm done" business?
No one here believes for a second that you're done, Vic.
