would having the roof wrapped in glossy vinyl really affect the paint that much? might give second thoughts if this is true

 

what difference does distronic give to the grille? sensors?? i figured i wouldn't want much nanny options on mine

 

Distronic is adaptive cruise control. The "nanny" options are not selectable - pre-safe, etc. are all included. And active lane departure has saved my *** a couple times. I also love Distronic for traffic. Good times.

 

Probably not right away but over time I have heard some horror stories about wrap removals.

I just love the diamond white sooooo much- more of it is better IMHO

 

To each his own but the Distronic does it for me big time. That grille looks naked to me and the grille looks ordinary like other grilles found on average models like A, B and C class. I have it on my CLS and it's just got that drop dead look. Just my thought!

The difference is the with the round Mercedes sign at the centre of the grille. With the Distronic, the sensors are in the Mercedes sign so the background of the sign looks full and shiny. If there is no Distronic, the round sign is hollow with the same background as the grille itself. As you can see, it's a life changing decision

 

oh i see, so is that where theres a kindof shiny lens like thing over the star on the grille?

i actually would prefer not to have that as it seems to obscure the mercedes star and, cause some glare at certain angles, dont know why anyone would consider this an IMPROVEMENT in looks...

i dont think its called that in canada...

i know i ordered without the driving assistance package, which would be active lane keeping assist, active blind spot, or where it slows the car down if you get to close to the car in front of you.

 

The active driving package is partly done through this Distronic sensor on the front, as referred to in the owner's manual. Mercedes language...not US specific.

 

I was under the impression that exterior was AMG designo Magno White aka matte white the exterior option I was told could be order with designo porcelain leather interior and piano lacquer trim. ordering in May 4month 2013 CLS63

 

yeah i ordered mine in the diamond white, not the designo magno white as i'm not a huge fan of matte paint.

porcelain interior should look nice with the matte white though. good luck!
