Anyone else delayed?
Hey all,
Just sharing my frustration... Special ordered a CLS63 back in November, still haven't received a VIN, with a build date of late March--supposed delivery April sometime. It's difficult to believe that anymore 2012's will be built after mine--I may have the last custom build. Not a designation I'm that happy about. Must have been the designo paint that delayed it so long... might as well get a 2013--will have to wait just a few more months and likely pay the same price.
Anyway, anyone else get delayed?
Congrats to all who have recently picked up their cars! I'm very jealous!

Same here. My initial order was matte white but it got pushed to a 2013 model to be delivered in September. I changed it to solid regular black with a delivery date of May instead (2012 model). I still don't get why it takes so much time to paint it a different colour...unless the bodies are all pre-painted ?!? Hope you'll get it soon. I can't wait for mine.

Supposedly there is another designo exterior to be built around that time as well--I think we are the last two according to the dealership. I'm glad I didn't get designo interior as well, might not get it until FY13!

I don't know about you but I loved my C63 K1 every day i have had it. I'm changing to get more room and comfort and less plastic inside without losing (too much) on the thrill of the C63. The CLS is gonna be great but won't be as "nervous" as my C63 is, based on my limited experience of two test drives. I'm hopeful that all the good stuff of the new CLS will make me forget the magic feel of the C63.
