"HOLD" indicator

Wassup all..
Anybody else getting this HOLD light coming on. When it does, the break peddle seems to get really hard. Then the light goes off and the breaks soften. It only happens at a light or when I first start up.

Thoughts?

I have to go through the manual as I am not sure but this morning, at a light, the hold light came on the dash and the breaks felt like they froze up. Then the light went off and the breaks softened.

Happened a few times now...

If you stop the car by pressing brake pedal and you press it again, then hold function is activated. It means that you can put your foot off from brake pedal and car is still stopped.

I'll put that in the ECU bucket of ....

Saeed - I think me and Serge leave the same time every morning and saw him again today...with these cool stickers on his car and I'm like "Whats that all about" and he's like "yea...me and Saeed yadda yadda yadda" and I'm like damn. I know I have kids but I ain't dead!

Vic - You know about this Newport run this weekend?

You just pump the break hard once and it sets it...releases it the second you touch the gas.

my favorite is at an audi dealer i was looking at the 3.0T badges on the A7, and i asked why there is a T if the car is supercharged. the idiot told me it was turbosupercharged....before i fell to the ground laffing, i just said Oh wow, impressive, and walked off.

and yes i already knew what the t stood for

That function comes on and off like it has a mind of its own. Same with that 3-blink turn signal thing. I have read that section in the manual multiple times but still can't get them to work consistently.

The 3 blink is something I have been using for years. Its just a tap up or down and you get 3 clicks...great for lane changes. I Love that feature and I am a big believer in blinking. If you don't blink in front of me you don't exist...and expect ramifications.....

I was thinking MB should make it as you have mentioned: Every tap gets you 3 clicks. However, my car does that only time to time. Maybe I will head over to the dealer to have them check it out.

otakki, if you want to get 3 clicks do it quickly. If you want to get 1 click only, just a tap it and keep down (or up) for about 1 second.

Asked my wife about this as she has had MBs since 2002 and says that she has been using this feature for as long as she can remember.

But she is full of sh_t....because she is a crazy driver who doesn't blink...

YEEEEES!!! I can't believe it!...it's working consistently via your method. Thanks, Misiek4. You have saved me a trip to the dealer. Thanks to everyone else who has offered feedbacks. That's what forums are for.

Here you go! Thanks, man! Hey, what about vodka?! I thought you folks there in Eastern Europe and Russia actually prefer that over beer (no disrespect).
