When I spoke to my guy about it he was going to install a x pipe and was going to charge me $175 for parts and labor (takes less than an hour to do).

When he got the car on the lift he decided that straight pipes were the way to go and dropped his price to $150.

Almost everyone I know got straight pipes and advised me to do the same....and I did....and I am happy...

You're being charged way to much either way...

I think overall I am noticing about 10 - 15% more sound. The cars are decently insulated so it is more outside than in. I am happy with the sound as a daily driver. If I were doing it for "fun" Id love to hear a bit louder and deeper.
