This thread suggests that 27" diameter tire (255/30-21) fits front of C218 CLS. If it does (as pictured), then 255/35-20 will fit as well. Two questions: 1.) how is it possible when even 245/35-20 (issue here is hight not width) does not fit similar W212?; 2.) if it does fit, how come noone with C218 are using 255/35-20 or 245/35-20 (like many C219/R230/W211 owners do) to "protect" wheels?

Like these a lot for my new cls63 except I heard there were rubbing issues. You have any? I'm really thinking about buying them - just not sure i want black wheels for a white car.
