Dyno sheet thread for M157

As indicated in another thread, I got my car on the dyno last week. The absolute numbers may have limited meanings given that there are so many factors affecting the results (dynamometer type, operator, climate although results are supposed to be SAE corrected, ...). What I find more interesting than the absolute numbers is the shape of the curves along the RPM range, which shows different approaches from different tuners.

Although the reality is when the rubber hits the road, I thought it might be useful to post our dyno sheets and indicate which ECU tuning we have and the type of dyno we used. As a start, I took the liberty of copying from other threads, the dyno sheets of freefall (Renntech) and Vic55 (OE tuning) so you can see the variation in the curve shape from different tuners (I know there are more but I couldn't find them easily). Let’s keep in mind that the numbers are a the wheel and that the scale may be quite different from one graph to the next.

An easy way to compare is to look how close to the maximum the numbers are at specific rpm points. For example, Kleemann HP is going down from 5000 rpm, Renntech is going down from 6000 rpm and OE keeps going up. Kleemann torque is a plateau between 3200 and 4000 while the torque curve for Renntech and OE has a peak shape hitting the max at 3700-3800 rpm.

Just add your own dyno sheet.

1. Mr. Happy, Kleemann tuning, Mustang Dyno

2. freefall, Renntech tuning, Dyno Dynamics

3. Vic55, OE tuning, Dyno Dynamics

I will have a one to add soon. Having a baseline done on Thursday and ECU goes to Renntech on Friday and will have another done afterwards.

HOLY F'ing #$@#$!!!!

That's some crazy power! Look at that torque improvment! That is just insane!

This power profile is reminiscent of the E55, except more reasonably to the mid/higher power band. This is such a great profile and power band!

WOW! I'm impressed. (and immensely jealous!)
