Sirius in Canada is now broadcasting traffic?
I got my car in way and was so happy to finally have a GPS with a traffic function...only to find out that Sirius did not broadcast traffic information in Canada! However, since this weekend, the traffic info is magically showing on my screen. How hard was it really to get this functionality here...really...

I'm going to kill your dream...
Sirius Traffic is only available for US customers and not Canadians (what a crock)The Sirius signal is being broadcast from Sirius USA into our Canadian cars. We get SiriusXM and Traffic for 6 months on a trial but we will lose Sirius Traffic after the trial.
I looked it up online and we are not the only car owners that are getting shafted. ALL Canadian GPS owners that have Sirius Radio and Traffic are losing their Traffic because Sirius will tell you that they do not offer Sirius Traffic in Canada.
The only work around right now is it have an American address and a American Credit Card.
I hate that they give you something as a trial, lead you to believe that you can keep it after you live with it for 6 months and enjoy it...only to lose it.
Rant!!

It sucks. MB should consider an alternate source that works beyond the US. I've heard that BMW uses a different source for traffic even though the radio itself is Sirius.

From the email I got from them, it looks like they are looking in other options but from what I have read on the web, they have been stating this for years now.
