So earlier in the year I took both my 2012 CLS 63 with Renntech tune and my 2012 Porsche Turbo PDK with FVD tune to the track. The Turbo stomped all over the CLS and walked away laughing. It was a whole second quicker in the 1/4 mile. The CLS suffered from Continentalitus 5P and couldn't cut a decent 60'. The best it ran was an 11.7 while the Turbo was running 10.7s.
Fast forward to this past weekend where I equipped the CLS with a set of 315/30/18 Mickey Thompsons and sent it back to battle the Turbo and its AWD. This was my first time ever running drag radials on any car. Didn't practice doing any burnouts in them, no launch practice, running 18psi. The track was packed that night and they only had 1 lane working so it took 40 min to get a run in. I only got in 2 runs in the CLS. No time to really get aclimated to running it on drag radials or play with the air pressure to find the sweet spot. As I wasn't using race start on the CLS I didn't use launch control on the Turbo. Both were launched off idle.
So who won? The CLS did manage to eek out a win over the Turbo. I only got a 1.826 60' out of the CLS on the drag radials so there's a lot more to be had there with more practice and adjusting tire pressure. Using launch control the Turbo did go on to run a 10.7 again that night.

Not too shabby! Definitely room for improvement from the launch but not too shabby at all! Keep on practicing and I'm sure you'll beat the 11.3 with no sweat!
