Nice car, I have a similar car & similar wheel setup & I'm also 4x4'ing lol. Maybe we can get a group buy going?

I would like to retain some comfort, put on a bit more meat, and minimize wheel gap. Any recommendations on tire brand and setup? Should the setup include suspension at the same time? Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Any opinions on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S vs Hankook V12 EVO2 with respect to fitment, road noise? Target sizes would be 305/25 and 255/30

Helly Nice rides... I don't have a w218, I have a slightly lowered w219, 2011 CLS 550 sport.. I have 305/25/20 on a 20x11 on the rear and I'm not happy. I thought it would look allot wider but I wasn't sure if a 315/25 would make a real difference and I thought a 325/25 would be too wide and would rub. You guys are giving me hope...lol

I almost bought a 2011 too, but ended up with a W212 at that point. Feel free to throw up some pics! The new AMG GT's have 325 in the rear

Not a fan of that AMG badge on the back but I understand dealers were slapping those on the cars left and right.

Yeah, it came with amg everything, wheels, tail pipe tips, even the radio says amg when turning it on, but it’s cool. I didn’t know the amg models has only 2 numbers 55 and 63. The funny thing is on the 2011, when searching, they show the w218, which confused the hell out of me. But I wanted the last year of the w219 with the newer taillights and mirrors. The W218 is nice but I never liked the rear, the front is awesome. I could have gotten either but I chose the w219 and it had only 38k on it. I’m at 50k now but the rear wheel thing is one that bothers me, because it’s not what I was expecting. Guys were telling me go with a 285 or 295 on a 10.5 rim. I went 11 on the rim and 305 and I’m still not happy. I’m not sure if the 315 will make the difference I’m looking for... I believe the 325 would, but not sure if it will fit...

Another thing I wanted to do is get a 5bar rim and go deep concave on all 4 wheels. Vossen wheels do the custom concave offsets, but your gonna pay through the *** for them starting at $1,800 per wheel and up... I don’t want the look that bad... lol

Very Nice. I'm very close to taking that chance on the 315.. I noticed that Michelin 305 looks wider then the Pirelli and the toyo's… I wish I could find a place that would let me try them on without buying them...lol

yes I understand the tire size. I am wanting to know the offset of his wheels. Seems that it’s hard to get a good lip or any concave on a CLS.

My next setup will be 285 315.

Also note some tires wire wider then others as some 295 are like a 305.
