Replacing tires on W218
Hi been a long time lurker on this forum and a first time AMG owner. Have had my CLS 63 w 218 for a while now. Iridium Silver with PP.
was wondering whats a good mileage to replace tires? The car came with continentals which I m still using. I have done approx. 20K KM or 12 k Miles on them so far. would appreciate your knowledge on tires.
another thing, although having a differential (PP) the car's back end looses traction really quickly..not complaining rather enjoy it but wondering if that is normal ?

that is because of your tires.. if you look around the forum, you can see that so many owners really hate the stock conti's (including me)..

I agree....while not a very aggressive driver, I also like the PS3 better than the stock conti's.....which are still sitting on the stock wheels lol

I usually wear the tires down to the replacement bars before replacing them.
The oem LSD is something like 30% lock so slipping and spinning still happen. If you want a good mechanical aftermarket LSD, it will be something like those produced by Quaife.
