Ordered my 2014 CLS63 S-Model today... need wheel opinions
When you were doing your order and selecting options, did you see anything about the Carbon Fiber Engine Compartment Cover option (apparently the option cost $5400.00, but doesn't give any detail as to what's included)? Seems pretty pricey for just a carbon fiber engine cover.
Thanks,
Tony

Thanks again,

Hey Vic,
How strong are those HREs, have you had any issues with them bending? Currently I'm stationed in the Tri-State area of Philly, Delaware and New Jersey and the roads are crap to say the least. I'm ran 22s on most of my big cars (S-Class and 750Li) and these roads are brutal. I know that the HREs are light, but how do they stand up?
Thanks,
Tony
Confirm that you get the LSD standard in the S as I would think you would want this option. I noticed it that it was still an option on the dealer ordering guide. Interesting that it also states that it is only an option for the S model not the regular CLS63.
Appears they lowered the matte paint price too. I paid $4K for alagno and your charge for white is 2.3K.
What is the split option?
5K for the carbon engine option is crazy...

Yeah, the LSD comes standard on the S-Model so that is a definite plus. As far as the splitview, it's the Nav screen where the driver sees the Nav and the passenger can watch a movie, etc. I'm still waiting for them to clarify what's included in that B14 option, there's no way in the world that I would pay 5K for a piece of carbon fiber on the engine.
There were unhappy customers when the packages for the C63 came out the first year.

i couldnt see this anywhere in that ordering guide?
i was wondering if anyone knows if there would be an updated nav screen on the new 2014 cls63 (wont be available here in canada until fall 2014 as a 2015 model
)it would be nice to get some new features besides the AWD

would that mean the 2014 cls is getting the new nav/command system?

Not sure if they're changing out the Command unit or not, I know that they already offer the split view in the S-Class. I can only go on what they put in for the build I was going to do, it's possible that it may have been a special order item. However, I recently purchased Pertplus's CLS63 so I will not be purchasing a 2014 now. I would contact the dealership that you plan on working with and do a virtual build and see what they offer now that it's closer to the release date now.

Final build was:
- Iridium Silver
- Designo Platinum interior
- Carbon Fiber trim
- Black Dinamica headliner
- Carbon Fiber spoiler
- Premium 1 pkg
- Driver Asst. pkg
- Parktronic
- Rear airbags (for the kids!)
The beast should be here in mid-to-late September, so now I need some help... I've got a wish list including wheels, ecu tune, rear diffuser, and maybe some wrap or plastidip work... BUT I do not yet have a reputable shop to work with. Does anyone know of any solid shop(s) in the Dallas, Texas area? I know Renntech has a couple dealers in the Houston area, but I'd prefer to have a local resource.

On our shop car we dropped down from the 21" HRE 794RS to these 20" P44SC and it looked better if you ask me!
