Adaptive transmission reset
Anyway after the reset, I am enjoying the car much more. I had a dodge viper before so was used to > 500hp/tq+, but could not understand why the car would not kick down the gear box and stayed in 4th during open throttle. Now on the freeway, it will kick down to 3rd and accelerate much harder.
I did the research when someone mentioned their improved acceleration after their cls63 was sent in to its first service and the mechanic disconnected the main battery, which caused the adaptive transmission reset. I learned that the older way of flooring the gas pedal for 5 seconds with the key in the on position then turning the key to off and removing my foot of the gas, and waiting 2 minutes works to reset it.
All in all, I was very close to selling the car because I thought something was very wrong, but now I see what everyone is talking about. Car is amazing.

On the older models it was a key in the ingintion process that did the reset.
What other things would you lose when disconnecting the battery (besides losing radio channel memory)?
Just curious because I just disconnected the battery on my MY12 ML63 to remove the ECU.
Thanks
Vince
