Power wire under dash

I'm hard wiring my escort live PS cord.

I've been looking for a couple of hours to find that thread that has the location of a switched 12V wire right behind the drivers-side dash panel. There is a lot of cable and a module so I dont think installing it in the mirror or overhead light consul is an Option.

any help is appreciated

Nothing in the mirror or the overhead panel there is 12V wire you'll find under the steering wheel that where the OBD located I wired my V1 but it stays always on I have to turn it off manually

You can very easily run a wire to the fuse box under the hood. It's a somewhat large open hole in the firewall there for all the wires and you can just use a fuse tap at the fuses.

I ended up it taking it to the local Car Toys. They said they always get the 12V power from the lighter since its has the least chance of causing a fault in the electrical system. All good now but wallets $100 lighter
