I agree. I have all the options in my car except for the illuminated door sill. Of all the options in my car, I definitely would not get the night vision again. I can see this option being useful if you do a lot of night country driving. Since I don't, it's not worth the money for me.

its a crap option, i had it. you cant drive the car looking at it so its pointless. and i dont believe it automatically comes on if it detects a pedestrian ...

have it in my 550.....and it's fair at best, I have actually seen it illuminate objects with
the square shape before.........it could be useful if the passenger was keeping tabs on it........

It's useless and only good for ooh-ahh from passengers and for bragging rights. I have never seen the square outlines on it but I have my eyes mostly fixated on the road.
