LSD differential service
Recently hit 1,500 miles. Dealership (M-B of Scottsdale, formerly Phoenix Motor Company) wanted $350 for the LSD differential fluid change. I know the fluid isn't cheap but this seemed excessive.
Took it to a quality private shop near where I work (Autohaus of North Scottsdale, owned by a former dealership lead technician) and didn't even inquire about the cost. I was expecting it to be a bit lower, turns out it was much lower - $155 including tax.
I'm never going back to the dealership unless I need to for warranty work.

do you know what they charge for service A and B? is there any down side to going there vs. a dealer?

34 for the fluid and 68 for labor, agreed, deal is a rip lol, I love the indy shop I use, hey're passionate and better priced, easier to deal with; even has a loaner
good luck

Only downside is that if you need a loaner car, you will have to pay for it. And if there is any warranty work to be done, they'll instruct you to get it done at the dealership.
