285-30 & 245-35 on 20s?

Has anyone tried this set up in order to stay with 20s but keep the gap minimal, ride decent and still a good look?

i drive them all, fast and hard
ive seen 255 35 20 and 295 30 20 on the black weistec car,

they used their own springs up front and let the car adjust it self in the rear, as far as i recall, that was an e63 tho...u can likely go wider on the cls due to offset

Take a look at my post and you'll see the 295 and 255 setup. No spacers and not lowered. It'll give you a good frame of reference. Good luck!

I had them on my 219, gave me more tire meat and closed that gap up a hair. Sorry, can't say about the 218, but I don't see why they wouldn't work too.

Your tire diameters are the same as OEM, hence the large fender gaps you still have. The OP is looking to close the gap with a larger than OEM tire diameter, like I used.
