Smoked side markers
So I'm looking for smoked side marker lights that won't give me a missing bulb error message. I've read some of these after market lights throw the error.
Anyone have experience with either of these? Any reason to buy one over the other?
These have a single chrome bulb.

The smoked sidemarker themselves don't throw error codes, it's the bulbs that are checked via the feedback loop to the SAM. Standard halogen bulbs won't throw codes. You can also upgrade to LED bulbs as well as the stock bulbs and those chrome tipped bulbs will still have a yellowish output when lit, but you'll need canbus LEDs. Thanks for all the info. Don't think I'd want to put the time into painting them.
I tried wrapping them and that didn't work out well. Maybe it would be easier if I took them off the car first. I'll probably end up ordering one of the two versions from ebay. Not sure which one....
