I just bought one with 30k miles on it. This car is absolutely ridiculously powerful and comfortable. First Mercedes. First luxury or truly nice car. Absolutely unbelievable.
Appreciate all the helpful info on this forum I used to research before buying.
congrats and welcome to Mercedes Benz........30K isn't much and should provide lots more for you.....I'm almost to 40K on mine (39,422)
what color did you get? options?
Silver, performance pack, spoiler, all the assist packages. I think the only options not on it are the carbon fiber brakes and 4MATIC.
It's absolutely the perfect car for me except one thing. The road noise is atrocious. I'm thinking it's the bent wheel phenomenon I've read about. At 30-70mph it's REALLY loud. Tire pressure 40 all around. No uneven wear, tread 70% of new. Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Naturally I didn't buy the dealership wheel warranty for $2k, hoping I'm not screwed.
So, take to the dealership for the $100 deductible evaluation or go to a wheel shop first?
But once again, what a fine piece of machinery. Love it. Thanks for the welcome.

Congrats and welcome! Your ride is gorgeous. Glad you are enjoying the car (for the most part). Unfortunately it may be the PSS tires themselves. They are known to be loud after a few miles. If you had bent wheels, you would also have steering wheel vibration, worse at certain static speeds, and possibly some pulling of the steering wheel.
You may want to peek at the underbody. Perhaps some trim is missing? Not out of the realm of possibility on a pre-owned vehicle with a few years on it.
Also consider this is a performance vehicle - it tends to have less road noise insulation - however I will say it is leagues quieter than my Audi S6 was, and I'm very content with the noise level on the highway.
Congrats on the purchase.
I just sold mine and you will love it.
Get a tune and it will be unbelievable how much more power you will get.
I have a comfort box for the trunk if you do not have one that I will sell cheap as well as KW coilovers if you are interested.
I have the same year. Put new tires on it and it will help a lot with road noise. .... if those are the original tires! It's still going to be a bit noisy, because you're going to have performance tires on it.
I've been using Hankook. They grip good, not too noisy, and CHEAP. lol. Good all around reviews if you look on tire rack, that's where I get them. Of course, I put 20" wheels on, but here's the tires I got.
255/30ZR-20 HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO2 XL

I like a nice FAT rear tire.
In case anyone wanted to know, dealership said it's the Michelin PSS, when they wear below 60% they get noisy. Suspension and bearings were fine. So, great news. Hope this helps someone else.
I just put a set of the newer style Continentals on mine, the ExtremeContact DWS06. The diff is night and day. If anything it is now TOO smooth! If you want smooth and quiet they deliver. Makes it drive like an S550. Only thing is steering feel is a bit mushy at high speeds, maybe the sidewalls aren't stiff enough?
Congrats on the purchase.

Small update if this is useful to anyone. Replaced all 4 tires, noise got better for about 2 weeks then returned, though not as loud. Come to find out the front tires were cupping badly and the alignment was way off. So 1 month old tires are ruined, I'll replace, should fix the problem once and for all.
Expensive - Tires $1400 for 4 Michelins, $369 for alignment at dealership and now another $700 for new fronts. Ouch. Worth it for this beast of a car though.

OUCH. For what you spent I could have sold you these:
