Added a cheapo Rockford Fosgate sub 8" with 300W amp in the trunk of my CLS63 with HK stereo. DRAMATIC difference in the sound. Almost like it unloaded the other speakers so there's greater clarity. Maybe subjective bias, but for not much cost ($400 installed) it sounds a lot better to my ears.

just when i thought i had all my future mods planned out!

Exactly what I am looking for! Do you have pictures of the sub and where did you put the amp?

Right on......the weak link in this car is certainly the sound system.......unless maybe someone got that 'option'......but I am continually unexcited about listening to music in my CLS......I can imagine how happy you are with it
