Cut and dry here's the deal. I'm looking to put the widest tire I can fit on the CLS63 WITHOUT scrubbing. I also don't want to do any modifications to the vehicle for fitment. I'm not considering any other tire other than the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's because they are simply the best. I don't care if the car scrubs going over railroad tracks or speeds bumps or situational stuff. What I want is a wide tire that wont scrub or touch inner walls during normal performance driving. When I punch the gas pedal on this monstrosity of German engineering I will have clearance under the wheel wields. Can you guys please help me out because it would suck to buy these expensive tires and have to send them back. My car specs are below.

First of all its 325/25/20 unless you're running 25" wheels. Next a lot depends on your wheel offset.
ive seen people running 315/25/20 easy. 325 might be possible with low offset,

Why do you want the widest tires possible?

Hey Acid, thanx for the correction on the tire size as I had the profile and the height of the tire reversed. However, after doing more research I think a 305 will be a better choice. The 315 and the 325 stick out a bit which is not a good stance for the CLS in my personal opinion. I'm thinking a 20x11 rim and 305 on the rear and 20x10 rim up front with a 195 tire. Lend me your thoughts my friend.

Hey AMG, I want the widest tire possible that is fully functional because I'm going to a circuit track in ATL when I return from Afghanistan. I've read reviews about these continental that come stock on the CLS63 and this was a big mistake on MB part. I have personally experienced my AWD CLS63 do a 360 in traffic because the tires gave up with just a touch of the pedal. I don't want these type of problems when I take the beast to the real deal. Pilot Cup Sport 2 is the only way to go.... what a difference man..... OMG!!!!!

0mercy, Bro I will recommend the following setup:

Front 20x9.5 +20(ish)et with 265/30/20
Rear 20x11 +30(ish)et with 305/25/20

Especially if you're tracking, you don't need wider than those because aggressive driving may cause rubbing.

I'm assuming you meant using 295 in front and not 195, I do not think that is even possible. It will definitely have rubbing issues.

Hey Acid,

I did my research on that offset you posted and the stance is astonishing. It looks so good and I'm sure the performance will match it as well. Thanks for the help bro.
