Looking for input on Wheel/Tire setup

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum and I am looking into getting new wheels and tires for my 2012 CLS63 AMG w/PP. we currently have the OEM wheels. I was looking at getting Rohana Signature RC22 5-Spoke Matte Black Wheel 20x9 for the fronts and 20x10 for the rears. As for tires I was looking at getting Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 K120 255/30R20 for the fronts and 285/30R20 for the rear. I still dont know the offset for the wheels yet but the guys at Vivid Racing have been very helpful and should be getting back to me soon.

Will there be any rubbing issues with this setup?

My wife is the primary driver because I am always deployed to Afghanistan, so I want to make sure she doesn't experience any issues while I am gone. Thank you all for any help.

The best or nothing
I'd stick with OEM sizes.

Can't imagine those numbers will rub but rubbing will also depend on offset. But those tire sizes are mismatched though.255/30R2026.0x10R2026.0"285/30R2026.7x11.2R2026.7"+2.7% Different diameters. Not sure if that'll throw off the traction control.
https://tiresize.com/calculator/ is a good way to check diameters and size differences.

I would strongly suggest a /25 rear sidewall for a proper look. 285 is fine, can run upto 315 but no need. Attaching photo of my cls: 295/25/20 top pic and 305/25/20 bottom, lowered with no rubbing.
Also depends what kind of tires you get, Michelin run much wider than a cheaper brand tire for example. Your front size is perfect.

Nice set up! So even with the 305's in the rear you have no problem with rubbing ? I'm ordering my wheels on Friday and I'm really curious.

no rubbing unless hit a big bump while speeding. I always prefer to stay close to OEM spec. do to any possible issues with traction control and cruse control. As of now your rear wheels are larger than front and may cause inaccurate speed odometer reading.

I'm throwing my 2 cents in about the tires. I currently have the Hankook Ventus' on a '09 63. The slickest and least grippy tires I've had on this car. For me (in Florida), IMO, Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Positions did well. Happy Shopping!
