Best Exhaust?

Hi guys,

What's the exhaust setup most people are going with? Looking to upgrade and would love to hear everyone's input.

Thanks in advance!

Remove your resonators and go with straight pipes , thats the route i will be taking seems like its the most common mod.

Thank you. Yeah doesn’t seem like there’s many options.

How big should the pipes be? 3 or 3.5”?

Bump
Seems like the only decent exhaust is the FI exhaust which is about $5k..

Any one else with insights to share?

Best mod is a $60 resonator delete, wakes the car up!!
For a another $1k-2k, castles DPs will wake the neighborhood up.

And the damn thing sounds absolutely amazing!!

Was thinking of doing the catless *bridge back* (not turbo) downpipes first because that will actually give me some gains from removing the cats and of course better noise. Then possibly resonator delete if I want it louder.

I just found there an IPE Exhaust which includes electronic closed valve for about $3k which I’m leaning towards.

We suggest either FI or IPE, but are decent quality exhaust for the price. Please let us know if you need a price quote.

Thank you!

you guys recommend muffler removal also or no?
Cattless down-pipes, and straight 3" or 3.5 all the way to the tips?

or leave the mufflers and straight from the down pipes to the mufflers.

I’d leave the OEM mufflers to be honest if you’re doing straight pipes.

From all my research all the piping is 3” for all exhausts like FI and IPE along with all downpipes so I’d stick to 3.

I'm definitely leaning towards the IPE exhaust

I would spend $200 to remove exhaust and replace with straight pipe and spend $3000 on a tune and burble tune. You will get the V8 roar and the massive increase in HP and TQ all for under $3500. Spending on an exhaust just gives you sound and a bit more hp. Not worth it in my opinion. But to everyone’s choices.

I agree but also disagree. What you’re also getting is the valve control with the IPE exhaust and all the others. The tubing company I’m going with already said they’ll maximize the gains of the exhaust when I get it flashed.

i wounder if these cars would be SUPER loud on cruising with no mufflers and downpipes straight all the way back... if to loud an option would be to put cut off valves and leave the mufflers on that way you have both

I think downpipes and straight all the way would be a little too loud and drony,

ive tried stock with just middle section of and straight pipe and it sounded a little louder then factory,

then i wanted something more so i went with middle off and straight pipe, back mufflers completely off and to me it sounds just perfect, when youre crusing hardly any noise, if you want it loud just press your foot and it screams,

here is a video of my current setup!
