What’s up with these remote batteries???

I've had the car for about a month, now. When I bought it, the remote battery was dead and needed to be replaced. Which, of course, I did. About 10-14 days later...I get the the 'battery low' warning on the dash. A day or so later...its dead. No problem...bad battery. I install a new one, week before last, and I'm getting the same warning on the dash, today. Obviously, this isnt normal.

Can someone point me to what may be the cause? I'd really appreciate it. I cant go back to the turning the key to start the car life. And I'm not trying to keep astock of CR2025's on hand, either...

Dying keyfob battery

If you leave the doors unlocked and the keys close to the car (ie- within 50' of car) the key will communicate
with the car and somewhat prematurely drain the battery in the key. Try putting the keys further away or
locking the car in the garage.....might help

Buy 2032 because it is 0,7mm thicker it has a slightly bigger capacity. It fits, I’m using it.

How long have you been using the 2032?

Sometimes the batteries we get just crap out, but the bit about it communicating with the car is true too.

Hi,
couple of months so far so I can't speak about longevity but it will be better than the 2025.
