Is there an upgraded screen available for the W218 ? Aftermarket or factory upgrade with pics would be nice!

yup its a great upgrade and no, there is no loss of functionality and youu can use all the oem display and features with the screen. if you look on youtube theres lots of videos about the android screen in various mercedes models

apple doesnt provide any useable operating systems to even create such a device. it would have to be an offcial apple device to get ios on it. which does not exist. if you are asking if you can hook up apple carplay, yes you totally can with apple carplay interface attached. but as far as a screen running ios operating system, no you will not find this, nor is it necessary. sorry you probably won't find one local. the units are predominantly mailed from china. you'll save a lot of money going directly to a chinese website as opposed to paying $200+ mark up from a reseller in the states Originally Posted by Ericv13

yes the screen itself runs on an android operating system, and no an android device is not needed in any way and it works with iphone. It runs like a tablet. but dont confuse it for being an actual tablet. It doesnt have much space or RAM so while you can download apps on it, its best not to download many or to downlioad the apps on a separate flash drive and connect it.
