What is the AMG hive using for spark plugs for there M157, suggestions ?
My question(s) are regarding the best quality spark plugs to use for the M157 engine...I see that Bosch is the OEM brand for use in the M157
engine...
Are you guys using the factory recommended temperature range for your plugs or are using a step down temp plugs...?
Stick with Bosch or go with Nippon Denso, NGK...?
Looks like the Bosch Double Iridium (Bosch ZR6SII3320 Double Iridium OE Replacement) may give the best performance...?
Anyone experience any catastrophic failures with any of these brands...?
Correct plug gap at .040"...?
I don't have the manual in front of me, going off memory.
Engine is pushing 30K Miles on the clock, will be changing the engine oil and engine filter, and may as well change the plugs too.
Thanks in advance.

My Son is looking to do a MBH cat-less down pipe upgrade as well as a Renntech stage 1 tune so I was also considering the Brisk Racing (Silver Core) MR12S
as a option to the Bosch ZR6SII3320 DI plugs...I'm puzzled though why the Brisk Racing has no warranty...?
I know back in my University days in Metallurgy classes that silver is the best electrical and heat conductor of all non ferrous metals or alloys, but it also is quite
soft on the Brinell scale so it will erode faster than Iridium alloy, I also wish the heat range was lower on the Brisk Racing plug (14 on the Brisk heat range,
NGK cross reference @ 7, Denso c/r @ 22. Bosch c/r @ 6 ).
If anyone here as any experience (good or bad) with the Brisk Racing MR12S, NGK, or Denso spark plugs for the M157 engine please let me know...
Thanks in advance.
