Removing Climate Control Unit

I am trying to remove the Climate Control Unit from my 2013 CLS63 AMG and need some help!

Do I need to remove the leather trim cover out first to expose any screws that might be required to be taken out as well?

I found this video that shows CCU removal from a CLS (I don't think it's an AMG though) where he is prying the unit out from the bottom section pull out tabs.

However, under a separate thread on this forum, a member had mentioned that the leather trim cover just above the CCU needs to be pulled out first to expose two screws.

I am wondering if I do need to take that leather trim piece out first or not???

I tried to do both of the above but haven't been able to remove the unit yet. Maybe I wasn't applying enough force but I didn't want to break anything.

Is there any trick that I should be aware of?

Would appreciate any advice and guidance!!

Quick update: I did remove the leather trim cover and there are two screws behind it that you do need to remove.

I was able to remove the CCU after taking out the screws.

Also, my software and hardware numbers did not exactly match, but the replacement unit that I bought seems to be working fine.
