Front Strut Assembly Oil Leak
Hello everyone,
Bad news for my 2014 CLS 63 S, my local mechanic recently discovered a oil leak coming from the front right sturt, and quoted me at $2609.01 to get both front struts replaced. I had a recall on the car from the dealership for a separate issue; so while they had it, they quoted me at $3700 to get the front two struts replaced.
So I never work on cars, just bikes... Am I getting ripped off here or is that about accurate, also is they any other options to fix this oil leak? Thank you!

If you are handy with tools you can do it yourself. Just rent a spring compressor from the auto parts store. There's nothing special about it. If I was in your area I would help you. I do my own work. Once you start doing your own work and see how easy things are you'll find it hard to pay people. Plus no one will give your car the attention that you will. Good luck.
