Time for brake pads... Why so CHEAP??
So I got the "check brake wear" message on the dash yesterday when I was driving hard (Who am I kidding? I'm ALWAYS driving this car hard) and I had a moment of panic, but all is well.
Normal brake pad wear and time to replace.
So I found brake pads on rockauto.com and they are less than half the price of pelican parts... Why so cheap??
RAYBESTOSPGD1291M Element3 Brake Pads for a set is $58 for the front?? The cheapest pads for the front on Pelican Parts is $116!
I'm not looking to cheap out or anything, but I don't mind saving a couple bucks for spending on steaks and beer after changing pads!!
Also, I heard raybestos are pretty good?
Brand recommendations wanted. Looking for less brake dust with good stopping power.

No one has replaced brake pads themselves willing to drop some experience?
I'll put this on the w212 board. Same brake system, right?

Hmmm, someone recommended them in another thread I searched out, so I took a look.
but searching through the W212 forum I see the EBC redstuff pads are highly recommended and someone backed up that statement on the thread
Found them on Amazon for $100 for fronts. Rears are $135 for some reason on Amazon??

Then get them? Its a personal choice. I just posted what I like and works for me. I wanted a highly rated performance pad with no brake dust and not harsh on the rotors.
