Are these signs of trans overheating or slip?
Hey all,
So yesterday I was doing some pulls with my friend on his C7 and after about 6-7 pulls in around 30mins with a couple of coasting minutes, I noticed that the 7G would not want to shift to 4th from 3rd in Sport+ with the gear set to 3rd when flooring it. The temps were around 225F and 199F when the car didn't shift and bounced off the limiter, then a second later it upshifted. After about 5mins while on the off-ramp, the car suddenly went into a neutral like mode where it would rev in D and not accelerate. This same thing had happened to me before when I first got the car and bounced off the limiter in M mode by mistake. Both times it fixed itself with a simple restart of the car.
Any thoughts? 2014 CLS63 4Matic which should have extra transmission coolers. Also, the car is tuned.
