M278.922 Absence of Split Cooling?
I did a search and couldn't ascertain an answer.
I have 2012 CLS 550 4matic with a 278.922 and I've recently started getting into doing my own maintenance and looking at performance upgrades/enhancements.
One thing I have come across is discussion about split cooling and modding it so that the pump always stays on.
Question is, I don't see any type of pump ontop of my engine! So I assume mine doesn't even have split cooling at all. Is this a system that I could and/or should add to my engine? I have found a kit being sold online (https://www.vrpspeed.com/product/m15...t-cooling-kit/) so is this something that can be easily added (essentially bolt on)?
Thanks guys & gals!

@Maduro You would be correct, split cooling was introduced in the 2013-14 build year with a Bosch 010 intercooler pump sitting behind the front bumper. The reservoir for the split intercooler system would sit in the V under the main engine cover. It uses the same coolant as the engine. Highly recommend the modification if you are adding any more boost are in hot or high altitude areas. There are docs on MB world the show people doing this. A common way to go is to use the VRP kit and add their superflow cooling pump or use the Pierburg CWA100 from FCP Euro (lifetime warranty).
