Another wheel thread.. but different!

Hi guys, heres a question that i could not find any answer to on here or any other forum.

I am looking for aftermarket wheels for my car but in the past when I had the CLS 550, I had a bad experience with 20s in the front with bending them all the time.

Now that I have the 63, I just cannot stay away from doing it again.

I am thinking of the following setup:

19x9 offset 25 - 255/35/19 - Front
20x11 offset 37 - 305/25/20 - Rear

This will give me decent tire-wall in front and half decent in the rear with nice concave wheel.

What do you guys think? Are there any issues with running different sizes between front and back as long as the diameter is the same?

Has anyone tried this before?

I know GTS uses different sizes front and rear but then that is a sports car.

Please let me know what you think!

Thanks.

As long as the diameter is the same you should be fine. Your old wheels, were they forged?

The one on 550? No. Flow formed. Vossen. Nothing wrong with the wheels just the 30 series tire in front with 255 is too low of a profile. the added engine weight didn’t help either. rears were always fine as they were 295/25. never had a problem. had to replace the fronts twice in couple of months time.

Anything short of forged on a car this heavy and you're going to bend it with that thin of a tire. Forged wheels are many times stronger, plenty of people running around with forged 20's on a CLS63

Thanks for the recommendations bro. Are these reputable brands?

Any experience with their wheels?
