I searched this sub thread and came up with no info.

And the owners manual for this topic is useless, I am not referring to changing a tire and using one of the 4 jack points on the edges of the vehicle.

I want to know if there is a suitable center jack point on the rear of this vehicle. The front one was pretty obvious but what I thought was the rear center jacking point started to bend and make some noise after starting to apply pressure to it so I immediately let off. See the following photo, I thought it was the large flat center area. There is also a protruding rubber nipple further back. Am I missing something here, is there no rear center jack point on my 2012 CLS550?

No no, not on those that you circle. You can jack the entire rear up on the rear differential. The picture is for W211 but it can apply for others.

Really, right on the differential? I'm not an expert but a part of me is thinking that could cause some damage.

either the diff or heat sink will work

edited: I think aluminum heat sink is for AMG cars only

Yes right on the diff. It is the strongest point on the car.
