It looks to me like there are (3) pins (one of them bigger and with a small nut inboard) holding in my brake pads under a spring. Does that sound correct? Going to try replacing them today, w/sensor, of course. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you're trying to be helpful or just a jerk, please clarify. Thank you

If the sensor is no longer touching the rotor, why would it short circuit and cause the light to go on? I'm going to try the other reset suggestions in the wheels & brakes forum to get my brake warning light to go out. However I did have it serviced yesterday and I used the $150 coupon from MBUSA very successfully... My rears are down to 3mm as well so it could be that the rear sensor is continuing to trip my system. I'll replace the rear pads and check back in, first trying the steering wheel trick to reset the code, if in fact my rear sensor is not yet touching the rotor. In any case I'll let you guys know.
