CLS63 Ticking Sound Help
Hello I am looking to purchase a 2013 CLS63 AMG. I was wondering if the ticking sound in the video was a bad lifter. Please let me know what you guys think the sound could be, or if it’s normal.

Completely normal & very common with the m157's & other engines from this production era.
I was just as concerned as you were when I had first bought my 2013 CLS63...during a cold start people would sometimes be like "dude I thought your car was new, why does it sound like that?". They would chuckle when I said it was a normal thing that occurs during a cold start...because it does go away after a few seconds, but I ended up getting the recall done just so I wouldn't have to hear ignorant comments anymore lol.

The main sound heard in the video is the high pressure fuel pumps being actuated. They are cam driven. It isn't unusual for them to sound like that, however I just replaced mine and the engine idle isn't nearly as noisy now.
