E63 & CLS63 Silicon Inlets
Checkout our new product for the CLS63, E63, E550, and CLS550
The inlet pipes on the M157 E63 and CLS63 are made of a fabric wound onto a plastic coil-spring. Over the years the fabric adhesion deteriorates and causes the whole part to crumble and fall apart. This prevents proper cold air circulation into the intake tract and also ruins a clean look in the engine bay. Spool Performance upgraded Silicone inlet pipes solve this issue once and for all. Made from high quality 5 ply silicone and is guaranteed to last the life of the car maintaining proper air intake and a clean engine bay.
We had purchased a small batch to see how the market would react to them and we ended up selling out in a matter of weeks. As per our customers requests, we have changed the color to blend in with the OEM engine bay. The new inlets will come in matte black

The inside is smooth (and purple at that), as there are a number of layers that build out the intakes. I didn't get a picture of the inside prior to installation, but I do recall it being a nice layered material.
