too many to list
The same thing happened with my E55. I could put a basketball of something in the passenger seat and it would set off the chime. I was told your dealer can dissable it, but it reminds me to wear my seat belt (I get lazy sometimes).

My saga continues...my local dealer here in Tampa just refused today to disable it...the excuse was safety + they didn't have the codes from MB. John, are you sure your dealer would be willing to do it?

Are you actually complaining that the car wants you to wear a seatbelt?
As far as I know, the only real problem is that if you set a small bag or backpack or something similar on the passenger's seat, then the chime will go off and that is annoying. However, there is a fix for that if it is an issue in your vehicle.

I just don't always wear a seatbelt and I can deal with chiming for about 5 or 10 seconds, but IT NEVER GOES AWAY!!! It's nice that it doesn't want me to get hurt, but it nags to much.
