Carlsson / Brabus Lowering Module Comparison...
Perfect pics to show difference... both cars are CLS55's that have 20x11 on 305/25-20 rears. The Carlsson has 255/30-20 and the HRE has 245/30-20 front tires on 20x8.5's.

u cant really compare the drop though, they are both adjustable units, with the Carlsson having much more range of adjustment...its known that the Brabus module will not lower the car as much as Carlssons.

I have been debating the various modules, I tried the Eibach on my car and it didnt work. The shop I got it from neglected to find out if it worked on an 05 Sl, come to find out it only works on 03-04's. I d
I spoke with Renntech about the various lowering modules and what they said suprised me. They DO NOT recommend ANY module. They said they have tried ALL of them and NONE performed well. They said they alter the ride quality and risk damage to the suspension module.
I was suprised to hear this from such a respected tuner, but I believe them.
I used the washer method on my 05 E and it worked fine.. The nice thing about using the washers is if the airmatic fails you can return it to stock without the dealer knowing the car was lowered. Unless you have a MB tech install the lowering modules you will have a hard time getting a suspension failure covered under warranty.
I spoke with a few other tuners and all of them recommended the Carlsson module. They said its the only one that has worked without issues...

Yes the Brabus is adjustable, there is small switch on the end of the unit that turns it off, on, or slightly higher than the on postion.
I am not sure how low the Brabus module lowers the car, but I do know it has switch to change the height.

I have been lowering all of my cars with the Star Diagnosis Machine as of lately. I guess the lowering modules are for those who don't have access. Any good tech with a factory tester and a little know how can set it EXACTLY how you want it!!!!

According to Cory, the Kleemann module will not interfere with the "speed lowering" feature. I have a Kleemann lowering module and have had no problem with rubbing, etc., when the car hits the "lowering speed".
