Any pulling to the right issues?
I know alot of people with E55's complain about pulling to the right. My CLK55 pulls to thr right all the time...even after a front end alignment. Just wondering if the CLS suffers the same fate?

2010 ZR1 2011 JGC Overland 2013 ML63 on order
Brought my car to the dealer when it was pulling and they simply rotated the tires and the problem magically went away. Although, you can't rotate the tires if you have different size tires, front/rear.
How many mile do the tires have on them?

my tires have 17K miles on them but this car pulled to the right since day 1.
The dealership says it can be from the low profile tires following the crown of the road.

My CLS doesn't pull, but it does shake for the first few miles of driving just like my E55 did. It only happens when the cars sits for while like several hours or longer. I believe it has to do with the tires and the weight of the car. My guess is that the tires get out of round from sitting and a few miles of driving fixes the problem. The longer the car sits, the worse it is which only further supports my theory. Anyone else experience this?

I have 20s on my car and didn't have a problem with pulling to the right until I lowered it. I got it aligned and had a camber kit installed....still pulls to the right.

Mine doesn't pull consistently one way
It does tend to follow the crown of the road though and here in NC, they do seem to roll to the right.

Hey guys, sorry for a dumb question but what exactly do u mean by pulling to the right? Are u saying that the car keeps steering to the right when you don't constantly adjust the steering wheel while driving? If so, did most of u guys have an issue after going switching to 20's? I was thinking about switching to 20's but I might have to reconsider. Thanks~

Mine pulls to right. So I bought new tires, which I needed anyways. Still pulls to the right. Had an alignment done, still pulls to the right. So the dealership wants me to bring it in again

no offense but what part of 20 wheels do you guys consider an upgrade?
handling?
comfort & ride issues?
fuel economy?
performance?
RIM damage as they are too big and dent easy
hmmm looks...is it worth that much to give up all the above, just for looks?
to each his own i guess
but why on an AMG

handling? - no difference with good tires
comfort & ride issues? - about 10% at most comfort loss due to increased road-feel
fuel economy? - no difference
performance? - no difference if you have light 20s like the HREs
RIM damage as they are too big and dent easy - yes you have to watch out for holes etc more than the usual
Looks - > Night & Day in my opinion...

have you actuly tried it as in go wild in cornering at high speeds?

fuel economy? - no difference (there is)

Looks - > Night & Day in my opinion...so we have established its a look thing...which is not far off with what most of the CLS owners tend to do, thats fine its up to you and its your car I respect that

i just feel that 19 is enough and if you are still not happy lower the car and you get the same effect to a degree
The mod is purly look and has no performance enhancments, but rather drow backs on stock layout

have you actuly tried it as in go wild in cornering at high speeds? - Nope, I don't really plan on tracking my car nor do I have a death wish...
fuel economy? (there is) - might be in kuwait, installed my 20s in June, no difference in driving habits and you can see the mpg below:-
nevertheless, bottom line, I have 0 regrets, I can still fly when I need to... that's all that matters!

pulling to the right?
To bring up an old thread
Car didn't used to pull to the right....
I swaped in 4 new tires and had the shop align the car, car now pulls to the right
they tried to re-align three times, now still pulls to the right...not following the crown of the road, tried it everywhere, including a totally flat parking lot
Is there a trick to it? what alignment specs should i use?
Shop and dealer confirmed nothing was damaged on the car, frame is straight

It depends on how MUCH it pulls to the right, If Im not mistaken MBZ had this done to their cars for safety reasons.
For example, lets say you are distracted, (looking for phone, dozing off, slapping kids about, etc etc.) Instead of a hit on collision, you'd drift into the trees instead.
The head on collision is alot worse than hitting a tree. Regardless, both are very bad, and knowing AMG drivers.... you probably arent doing the speed limit. So stay focused.
This is what I have HEARD. I cant confirm 100%
