Just got my new Road&Track in and on page 23 there's an article on MERCEDES-BENZ FOR 2007 AND BEYOND.

It shows a picture of a CLS- and says it's the 65 version. Then it has some weird picture of a CLS- but slightly different looking...And apparently all Mercedes are getting the headlamps from the CLS on all their models....

I don't think that's true. The R-Class doesn't have anything like that, and neither does the new S-Class. :x

Can you scan in a picture? Maybe I'm confused?

I have a friend who works at mb and was told the CLS65 is coming out next year with a sticker of about 40-50K over the CLS55. Its definately coming!

The Road and Track article is riddled with errors, including a "3.7" litre engine for the S-Class... I didn't trust it at all. It had the general idea though. And I must take the stance that a CLS65 would be pointless...

I read that article as well... Someone posted some photos a few months back showing various models with new S (221)/CLS style headlamps.
This makes sense as the new M class, R Class, CLS, S all have headlamps that are similier in design. I wouldnt go as far to say as they are EXACTLY the same, just variations. Needless to say I dont like them, too Lexus to me.

I read the article to. These Road&Track needs to keep themselves updated.
