I have the opportunity to order a "third decade" September build CLS55. The last post I read regarding the 030 package was that it would be available on cars built after 09/01/05. Is this correct?

Unfortunately, my dealer is completely confused with regard to the availability and/or existence of the option.

Do you know if your vehicle will be produced before/after the "third decade" of September? Also, when you placed your order did the 030 package show as available on NetStar?

Hi Folks,

Maybe I can help as well. When I was at my dealership the last time (end of June), the 030 performance package showed up on NetStar. I can confirm that 100% since I saw it with my own eyes. I also saw the message "option 030 available from 09-01-2005 production on".

NetStar showed some weird info about the wheels that would come with the package (18" instead of the standard 19"???), but a different member of this board confirmed that the previous posted content of the package is correct (confirmed by the U.S. head of AMG or so).

I will go to my dealer on September 1st and finalize my order, expected delivery early December. The price for the package showed up on NetStar as well, $9,500 as far as I can remember.

Bobby P - My salesman at Fletcher Jones never mentioned "third decade of September" build. Just said it would be late November to early December delivery. So I assumed that it would have to be built in September to be delivered when he said it would be. On the 030 option, not sure about the "Netstar" thing, but he said that the MBNA sales MGR for his region confirmed the availability of the option.

My car is scheduled for 3rd decade Sept production, it was pushed back from this month to accomodate 030. As far as I know, the 2nd decade September is the first available build date for this pkg.

Thanks, I know. 19" two-piece Style IV. But on that day day when we wanted to punch in the order, NetStar listed 18"-wheels as part of the package..

Consider, there could be different package constituents for the US vs. overseas markets. Look at the base CLS wheels, 18's vs 19's and also the cup holders as prime examples. I'll wait til I see a US production version of
the package. Mine should be here around Dec.

Another thing, the 030 option sheet I have says there will be body modifications for rear tires. Dont see those on the car in the pic either!!

By this they would mean rolling the fenders? I think you would not see that on a picture as shown.

So run to your dealer RIGHT NOW!!
