The sound of the CLS55
Am I the only one in here that is fully intoxicated by sounds produced by the engine, supercharger and exhaust of the CLS55? I just asked my wife to go up and down the street like 20 times earlier just so I can hear it myself from the outside. I think I might even record it to use as my phone's ringtone.

Hehe this is my first second Mercedes and my first AMG and I am loving it to death.
This car's effortless power reminds me of my 97 vette, which I loved driving and the CLS5 drives like the vette too, like a go-kart, step on it and it just goes.
To me the 500+lb of torque is king and the 470hp that goes with it is just bonus.
I traded in my vette for a Porsche C4S and I seriously thought I made a mistake, I feel like the engine is working double overtime just to keep up with me, in the vette and now in the CLS55 it seems the other way around.
Torque is another reason I didnt wait for the new M5 and go with the CLS55 instead.
Here in North America there is no way to use all 500hp on the street but you could use all 500lb of torque all day everday

I traded in a 03 M5 on the cls55... I didn't wait for the M5 for the same reasons but most of all the i drive, I really don't like it. The cls is much, much better looking also, IMO.

everyone tells me that the car sounds loud and mean when i drive by.
