AMG E55, Stage 1, Strait Pipe from Primary Cats
Wow. This thread has brought some serious haters out. The car is a show type car/overdone I agree. With a change of the wheels and raise it up a 1/2 inch and I will take it over any of the the most harsh critics cars that replied to the thread with the exception of a few. especially the ones without a car ? = weaksauce.

I dont think many if any here are being haters. Pics were posted and the car was represented as "the hottest CLS55 ever" and so obviously people are going to give their opinions. Had this car been an Accord and been posted in Honda Forums, I am sure the crowd would have gone wild but this is not a Honda Forum and people here generally dont do Honda type things to their cars. The people that posted negative opinions are the people who have a sense of taste and class(when it comes to modding cars). Anyone who would do that to a CLS55 is a real momo and doesnt know the first thing about what makes an AMG special.

I actually like the color, but the dubs are overdone. The bodykit I'm not partial too...kind of ruins the sleek lines of the car. The rear looks like J-Lo's **** after 3 kids and too many doughnuts.
I'll take the modified engine, though. To each his own...life is too short, so get what you want...just don't expect to everyone to get jiggy with ya.

I don't really like the Lorinser bodykit, but I'm loving everything else...
Did you have to roll the fenders at all??? And how did you lower it 2 3/4 inches???

Classless, whoever owns that should have just bought a honda accord 2 door --that would have cost him about 30k max....and these mods would be far less expensive for him to ruin a car like that. I'm not a big fan of the CLS as it is but that kit/wheels/interior just screws it alllll upp i dont think i would drive it if given to me...id sell it or something..letme put it simple(IMHO)....If you buy AMG or BRABUS-don't fck with it-keep it real.

I like the two-tone interior, but i think a different set of rims would measurably improve the exterior appearance. as for the body kit, it's a little heavy behind the back wheels if you ask me. i'm not particularly fond of the cls in the first place, though, so if you think the kit's an improvement and you bought and paid for it, your money says you're correct.
my main beef with any except for the most conservative (ie closest to amg-stock) kits is that they often end up looking horribly dated within about 4 years. but if a long-term hold isn't an issue, i'd say make it as over-the-top as suits you and let your freak flag fly!

I wouldnt call it hating since most on this thread have a 55 or other 100k plus ride. Bottom line is mods like that appeal to a very select few and to the rest of us seem like something you'd see a pimp driving in atlantic city or overdone.
Bottom line is if the owner likes it that's all that counts. But claiming it's the hottest ever you're asking for people's opinions. As for me I wouldnt be caught dead riding in that car. It's the sort of thing most make fun of when they see it on the road. I know my friends and I would.
