Ah Mr. Canada, considering a CLS55 are we? Its amazing! Back seats are surprisingly spacious. A little less headroom than the 211 but its the same everywhere else. It does have the rear seat center console so your only gonna fit two back there and not 3 like the 211 will allow. Two good sized adults will fit in the back with the only real issue being that the front seats will have to be moved up a little more than would probably be preffered but its the same situation in the 211. Its a better car IMO, it handles better than the E55 and it looks like nothing else!

3 adults in the back of a car might even be a problem in a S-class. Where should the poor guy in the middle put his feet??

I sat in the back of my dads CLS500 for a twenty minute ride and it was ok..
I wouldnt want to sit back there for any extended period of time, Id get clausterphobic.
Dont base your purchase on the comfort of the rear seat, I say screw the passengers
