Extended Warranty?
Hi. My car will be here in about 1 week. I was asked about the extended warranty. While I may not keep the car more than the 4 years and likely will not drive it more than the 50,000 miles, I understand that I can transfer the remainder of the warranty to whomever buys the car from me. If I do keep the car that long (refresh is planned in 2010), I understand that these engines, drivetrains, electronics, etc. are expensive to repair.

Personally, I never buy the extended warranty. I do not keep the car past the factory warranty. Because of sales tax credit on trade ins, that is generally what I do. The extended warr. is just (imo) needless $'s spent.
Take the money you would spend on the warranty, put it in the bank, draw a little interest, have the money available for any emergencies
